Artist's Comments

After weeks of (nonconsecutive) work, the Doc Hammer plush doll is finished. I began it in October and finished it yesterday. (I took the months of December through February off, though, for no real reason.) I have to thank my friend Niki who pushed me to turn it from a pile of disjointed plush limbs into the thing you see on your computer screen.

The tattoos on the arms were embroidered by hand (something I had never done before,) as were the Daniel Ash sideburns. The hair is katsilk from restoredoll.com and cost way too much money, while the plastic joints and doll eyes were from clothdollsupply.com (I recommend this website for all your cloth doll needs, really nice lady who called me to personally tell me that my order would be late.) The clothing cloth came from a hole-in-the-wall fabric shop that I highly recommend. The belt buckle is a pewter pin I bought on ebay from another nice lady.

I really wanted to step up the craftsmanship on my dolls and I think I achieved that.

My next step is making a tiny plush cigarette.

The photo's not too bad, btw =P

Thank you! I'm probably going to retake the photo once I fix the hair.

(Have you done something unexpected yet today?)

The embroidery on the arms is absolutely amazing, let alone the entire doll came out amazing.

This movie doesn't end the way we want all the time.

The prospect of your delight was half the doll. Plus now it has the proper cigarette scent thanks to you.

That is amazing... I'm speechless. Hell, I'm almost type-less. You are really getting good at this. The super-magical part is that you made me huggable. My mom couldn't even do that.

Thank you! I'm so glad you like it. I worked hard to make Docdoll's inanimate embrace a tender one.

It belongs to all fans of Doc Hammer.
